Unpleasant feelings sometimes come and go
But fear is not holding me anymore

The mirror broke once.
A punch of disappointment,
shattered the glass
Tears, screams.
Yet, not a word.
He preferred to suffer alone.
Surprises, lies, pain.
It wasn’t what he had hoped.
It wasn’t true love.
He grabbed the pieces.
He bled.
He fixed it all.
Despite the pain.
Despite the blood.
He decided to go on.
Fear glued the glass
but the mirror was opaque
scratched, and stained.
And again,
his dear lover,
punched again
The mirror was never the same.
He dried his tears
and walked away.
